Welcome to the Princeton Transgender Network
The Transgender arm of PFLAG has been established to better meet the specific needs of families and friends of transgender and gender variant people. It is our mission to provide emotional support, education and resources in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental atmosphere.
MEETINGS: Second Monday of each month from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trinity Church, George Thomas Room, located at 33 Mercer St., Princeton, NJ. Meetings are FREE! DIRECTIONS
PLEASE: Be reassured that this group is a safe place for you to express your feelings OR to just listen to what others have to say. All conversations are confidential.
YOUR FIRST MEETING: Signs posted on the entry doors will guide you to the George Thomas Room where PFLAG Welcome Committee members will greet you and introduce you to our group.
ALSO: We will be meeting at the same time and place as PFLAG and will sometimes meet together for guest speakers or to discuss issues that are common to both groups from 7-8pm and then separate into our own groups from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
EDUCATION: We have professional guest speakers, local guest speakers, and panel discussions. Click here to see our meeting calendar. RESOURCES: Recommendations for LGTBQ-friendly health, legal, and religious professionals, as well as books, articles, etc.
PHONE BUDDIES: We have group members who are willing to exchange phone numbers for those people who would like more support between meetings.
Follow us on Twitter (@PFLAGPrinceton) and like us on Facebook (Pflag/Tnet Princeton).
MEMBERSHIP: While attendance at all PFLAG meetings are free, we encourage people to become members. Annual dues are $40 for an individual and $60 for a family. Our chapter makes a semi-annual donation to Trinity Church for the use of the meeting room(s) than we use on a monthly basis. In addition, we use our funds to support other LGBT activities in the area.
